Captain's log: 2026, April 9th. United States, Earth.
I feel lost in this world.
It's not a question of where to go or how to get home, but of what should come next. I am armed with the intelligence of a human brain, and the emotions and memories of a child fortunate enough to experience love and joy and security. I have experienced my share of disappointment and suffering, too, though I know I have likely had it easier than most in many ways.
All this is to say I am capable of navigating both the physical and the digital world - and increasingly the digital layer appears to obfuscate the truth of our physical reality.
I am an artist - a painter - and a musician. I am a gamer and a lover of stories and adventure and immersion in new exotic worlds. I love our world too, though, and feel it doesn't get enough credit for being such a great home for our species - at least from me.
I spend a lot of time in this digital layer, and I have many thoughts, often flying around aimlessly without a home - thoughts as lost as I am. Perhaps in time I can give them all a home.
